I never really wanted to enable it to begin with seeing as my followers list isn’t brag worthy, but you guys sure are interactive! I don’t really like answering questions & I don’t want you all to think me rude, so I decided to lay out all you really need to know in this Inquiring Minds section. What does “Jacs” stand for?

My name is Jacquelynn and my nickname is Jacs.

What’s your A/S/L?

I am 24 years old, a girl and Toronto based.

What’s your nationality?

I am Canadian and my ethnicity is Filipino.

Are you single?

No, I am currently dating someone.

Do you have siblings?

Yes, I am the eldest of three. I am the only girl. My brother’s are 23 & 21.

What do you do for a living?

I am currently a housekeeper at a hotel. I know it lacks the glamour of most jobs but I have myself and my family to support. I pay for everything myself and nothing worth it was ever easy.

What do you hope to do in the future?

I plan on working with youth. I want to help and affect today’s younger generation for the better. I don’t want to just teach, I want to be a role model. I know it’ll never make me rich but it will make me happy. I never cared about the money.

Have you considered journalism?

I have actually been published twice and received honors for my writing in elementary and high school. I was also offered a scholarship to Ryerson for journalism. I turned it down. It probably wasn’t the best idea but honestly, I worked my whole life to get there and in the end, I hated it. I couldn’t write a damn thing. So, now I just write as a hobby and I never loved it more!

How long have you been singing?

Oh, I come from a very musical family. I have been singing since I can remember. I used to be alot better in high school because of the training I received. Singing allowed me to go places and meet people, I would’ve only dreamed about. ( I got to go to Italy and see/sing for Pope John Paul!) Nowadays, I barely even warm up and I let bad habits ruin my voice. I still enjoy it and can pull a tune here and there but nowhere near great. I’m more of a “those who can’t do, teach” person now.

Do you really have a big family?

YES! When I talk about big, I mean 23 first cousins on my dads side and about 20 some-odd cousins on my moms all here in the GTA! I don’t even wanna get started on my family back home.

What types of music do you listen to?

I honestly listen to all types. I don’t have a favourite genre or artist, just a group of faves and I go through different phases.

Do you have any piercings or tattoos?

I have 4 piercings, and 3 tattoos.

What’s your religion?

I am Roman Catholic. I used to be really religious but I let my experiences get the better of me. I believe in God but not so much in religion itself.

You only take head shots, why?

I am extremely body conscious. It comes from not so great people teasing and all that jazz. I am pretty comfortable in my own skin but I just think I’m prettier from the neck up. haha.

Do you enjoy anything else other than singing and writing?

I do. I love to cook/bake, play make up artist, draw, play video games, read, watch endless movies and ripstick! You can a gist of everything I’m into by scanning my reblogs =)

Are you into fashion and make up?

I do love fashion. I don’t dress as awesome as most of the pics I reblog but I do have an appreciation. I love hair and make up because I grew up around it. My mother is a licensed stylist for hair and make up. Although I am not an expert, I am quite knowledgeable in those areas because I worked in those high end retail markets and was taught by my mother. ( I also read tons of reviews haha!)

Why did you get a Tumblr?

Um, about 4 years ago someone had brought it up to me and I thought, “Hey! Why not?” I ended up loving it so much I closed down my xanga and kept it!

What does “chasingjacs” mean?

I am quite the little busy bee so when I was in the prime of my party hardy stage, I opened up a twitter account. I started posting my whereabouts and everything I did. Pretty soon my friend had said ” If it weren’t for twitter or facebook, we’d be forever chasing Jacs”. There you have it!
